Oh Mo, I hope and pray that Lilly will get help very soon. As you said, some of it might be naughtiness, but I think that Lilly really has got a problem, bless her. I'm just wondering would it be worth your daughter-in-law getting in touch with the health visitor to let her know about ' Lilly's latest escapade '. She needs to tell her how worried they are about Lilly and that they feel as though they are coming to the end of their tether.

Although she probably has done all that before, but maybe the more she lets them know the situation, the more chance there is of seeing someone sooner.

Thinking of you all, and sending my love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx<3

Hello, we are home, wonder if you missed me?

I am jet lagged, just got in from a flight from Miami so not sure which way is up. We have been on a 6 day cruise round the Western caribbean, we called at three Islands, although we opted to stay on the ship and enjoy the peace while the majority of the 4000 is passengers went ashore. We visited, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel (a small Island off the coast of Mexico) The weather was good, 83 to 90 degrees all week day and night.
I didn't particularly want to go on the cruise which was won by our son and given to us. It was an experience and I am glad we went. But I am not sure I would repeat the experience. It was a big ship and so very clean everywhere, all day every day they were cleaning, the food was ok not fantastice but good. I am pretty certain we were the only British on board, most of the passengers were American or Mexican. And, although we thought we had found out when American school holidays were, there were a lot of children on board, from tiny to teenagers. Luckily there was one sunbathing deck only open to over 21s. :-) :-)

Mo, I hope that somebody can find out what the problem is with Lily soon for all the family's sakes. <3 <3

Hello girls,

Ann, I missed your posts lasy week and wondered where you were. I knew you and T were going an a cruise, but thought that it was later on in the year .Anyway, it's nice to see you home and that you had a reasonably good holiday.

Mo, hope all is well with you, Roly and your family.Thinking about Lilly and hoping that she is okay and that she will get an appointment for an assessment, through very soon.

Jean, hope all is well with you, J and D. Have you made anymore cards today?

Sylvia, hope that you and OH are both okay. Also hope that OH's face has healed by now.

I had an appointment with Tom (therapist) this morning, he was so pleased to hear about all that's happened since over the last few weeks or so. and how much better I am. I have been discharged, but I have a review with him in eight weeks time, and if I am still okay, then I will have another review with him three months after that. Not sure how long that will go on for, but if at anytime between each review I have a relapse,I can ring him and he will see me within a few days.
It's a new thing that they have brought in just recently for the people they see, that
suffer with relapses of severe depression over many years.

I think it is time for a nice cup of tea now, so will chat to you all later.

Take care everyone.

Love, Sallie. xxx <3

Hello dear friends,
Ann, I am sorry, but I didn't realise that you were going on your cruise. A cruise is something I have always wanted to do, but it doesn't look like we will ever get the chance now, unless we get very lucky and win the lottery.
At least you have had the experience of it now, even though you would not want to go again.
You and T probably took advantage of the over 21 sundeck, and I don't blame you, a holiday is for relaxing, not having to listen to young ones screaming their heads off with excitement.

Jean, Roly goes in for his operation on the 10th of July. He has to go for his pre op assessment on the 29th of this month, when they need to made aware that they have increased his B.P medications.
We spoke to Lilly on the phone last night, and she told us she was being a good girl...mummy was in the background saying oh no you haven't, so who knows,I have got to the point of being afraid to ask. lol
Ummm you naughty girl, finishing all those chocs up, and not sending us some down the cyber hatch.

Sallie, we are very proud of your advancement in your therapy. Good on you my love, keep up the good work, but know that we are here for you, should you need someone to talk to, as well as Tom.

Well, our grandaughter is on the move again. Her ex has found out where she is living, and is making her life hell.
Roly had to go and wire her new cooker in today. Every time she moves, she has to buy herself a new cooker, I have no idea why as there is never anything wrong with the older one. (I haven't looked, but perhaps she hasn't cleaned it LOL) It's becoming as expensive hobby.

Well me dears, I will say bye for now, take care, hugs Mo xxx

Hello girls,

Received a phone call from my brother just after lunch time, letting me know that one of our cousins died earlier this morning. She had been in and out of hospital over a few months, as she was suffering from emphysema and cancer. It is a blessing, no more suffering for her now. She lived in the next street to us and although she was seven years older than me, we got on well, she use to give me some of her makeup and liked to
make my face up and do my hair for me too.

Mo, Roly goes into hospital the day after my birthday, I will be thinking about him and hope that the operation will be a success.

I feel sorry for your granddaughter, having to move again because of her ex making life difficult for her. I wonder how he manages to keep finding out where she lives.

Jean, hope you all enjoyed your meal this evening. Where do you buy the chicken sausages from? I didn't realise that you could get them, I will have to see if any shops sell them here. Jennie, Michael and myself might like them, but Alun doesn't like chicken very much at all nor anything made with it.

Jean and Mo, I didn't want to bore you, telling you the news about my meeting with Tom yesterday, but I wanted to keep you updated. Thank you both for your lovely replies.

Hello to Ann, Sylvia, Huia and Marie, hope you are all okay.

Take care everyone.

AnninGlos Report 25 Jun 2015 15:06

Ooh I had not heard of chicken sausages, but then we don't shop in Asda. Hope you enjoyed the meal Jean.

Sallie, so pleased for you that youa re feeling better and have been 'released from the counselling for a while. Hope you manage to maintain the improvement.

Mo, If you do ever get the opportunity /cash to do a cruise, do one from nearer UK. Ours was from Miami and the travelling really overshadowed the cruise. We left home on the Friday and stayed overnight near Heathrow, the flight was 8 hours to Miami, then we gained five hours of course so were very tired that evening. The cruise was only 6 nights so by the time we were in the swing of it it was time to leave the ship, then we had to hang around Miami international waiting for an evening flight, which got into heathrow at 11am and we lost 5 hours there. So the travelling and concequent jet lag was very tiring. coming home we paid out £540 to upgrade to Premium seats which gave us more comfort and allowed us to sleep but not everyone could afford that. So my advice would be, if you want to do a cruise, do it from Europe. :-D :-D

Ann, you looked lovely in your photo's. I love the dress you wore for your evening meal with T.
The scenery from the ship is breath taking, the sun rises and sunsets were wonderful.

Well what wonderful weather we are having at the moment.
We have been busy planting our pots in the garden, whew, it was sooo hot out there we had to do it in small doses.
I just hope we don't get any sudden frosts now, to kill the plants off.

Have a lovely weekend girls, take care of yourselves. Hugs to all, Mo xxx

Morning all, drizzly rain here so far but the weather on the tele is saying we are in for a heatwave :-D :-D :-D :-D Mo your newly potted plants will need umbrellas to keep them from scorching and plenty of watering too, ;-) ;-) ;-) it will be you and Roly that will need to be careful.... drink a lot of water ....which brings me nicely to my new way of getting my five a day ( veg and fruit ) I dont like many vegggies and only certain fruits , so now I have read about healthy ways of getting all the nutrients we need,Smoothies !!! we have a blender never used it although D has made soups, also one of the smaller blender type thingies, so last week I blitzed lots of fruits and had a glassful for lunch ,,,, loved it so each day I have one in place of the usual boring sarnies at lunctime, did the veg one yesterday and it was quite good so I will keep it up , and see if I feel any different, there are loads of recipes all healthy stuff and we know what is going in too ;-) ;-) ;-) ....I wonder if there is a healthy chocolate one :-D :-D :-D...

I wonder how our friends over the water are doing, I saw a bit of a programme of New Zealand Rotorua Island it was so beautiful, Huia you probably know it well...

Thank you Marie for the Psalm, my all time favourite it was nice to read it in a different way l am glad you sent it :-) :-) :-) hope you and all your family are o.k.

~~~~~~~ to Sylvia, same wishes for you and those you love, are you off on any long trips again? ~~~~~~~~
I hope all is well too with our Sallie and family, how is the card making getting on?
Mo in Kent Report 29 Jun 2015 16:46
Oooh Jean, you are being a good girl eating, or should I say, drinking all your fruit and veggies in this way.
I love veg, but am not so enamoured by fruit so much. I know it's good for me, but unless it's really solid, I can't eat it. I know that sounds daft, but if we get nectarines or peaches or conference pears, they have to be so unripe it's unbelievable, but thats how I like to eat them. Maybe not good for the digestion, but at least I eat them that way.
I suppose you could have a chocolate milk shake instead of eating a bar of choc. The same calories I expect though.
Roly has been for his pre operation assessment today, so it's all set to go on the 10th.
For some unknown reason, I was under the impression it was next Monday, not the Friday, so a few more days grace for him.
Bless him, he is not looking forwards to it, but it's a needs must situation.
Whew, it's too darned hot here at the moment, never satisfied that me, I moan when it's cold and moan when it's to hot, a typical Brit.
Hope you are all well, sending best hugs and wishes to Sallie, Ann, Sylvia, Marie and our Huia.
Bye for now, Mo xxx
Hi Mo, and everyone
We're sweltering here .............. high 20s for most of last week, and it will be the same this coming week. The nights are the worst. We don't have air conditioning, so fans to the rescue!
Jean .......... you asked about long trips. I have to get to work planning our next trip. We've never seen the Prairies (Saskatchewan, Manitoba) in the autumn, nor the mountains. So we decided we would see about taking the train ........... you know how we love the train :-D
The current plan is to make the trip in early October, when harvesting should still be on. But we haven't decided what esle to do ........ I don't want to got to Toronto and come straight back!
Re chicken sausages .............. we eat turkey sausages that we get from our butcher. I don't know whether he makes them himself or has a supplier. But we buy 8 or 10 frozen ones at a time, we only eat 3 a meal so we always have a supply in the downstairs freezer.
We're so lucky ............. I phoned Dr's office at 10 am with a "can you fit me in this afternoon". The response was that they were very busy but she would see what they could do. She phoned back in about 10 minutes ........ appointment at 1:50 pm this afternoon :-) I've just had a quick lunch so I can be ready when OH arrives in about 30 minutes to take me there.
We have a lot of mossies and other very small biting insects that we call "no see'ums" around here (that's very unusual) .I got a mossie bite on the inside edge of the crease on my elbow about 10 days ago that seemed to be healing as normal, then starting itching again on Wednesday. By yesterday evening, there was a large red patch, some "spotty" areas, and a swelling under the bite.
I had an old tube of Phenergan in the drawer, and that helped last night ............. even though it was way out of date :-( . We can't buy it over here, so I have to buy it in England ..... we were last there in 2008!
But thought it better to get into the docs ............ OH is busy tomorrow so wouldn't be able to take me, Wednesday is Canada Day and a holiday, and Thursday will be the "new residents" first day
Mo ........... I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Roly. xx
JustJean Report 30 Jun 2015 10:50
Same here Sylvia, heatwave temps :-D :-D :-D
Your trip sounds exciting so I will look forward to read all about, (I hope ;-)
Mo I can do a chocolate shake, just found a large bar of chocolate in the fridge :-D :-D
so I will have it later....I am enjoying the drinks although some are peculiar colours but taste great....Off to get my hair done and take some cards to the haidressers....
The new roof seems to be working o.k. it was 25 outside and a nice 20 in the conservatory, ..J is sitting in there reading at the moment....bless him.....I had better go and get dressed ready to go out.. see you all soon, I have sent two pms to our Sallie and they havent been opened yet I do hope all is well with them all....
bye for now love Jean xx
