I do hope Sallie is o.k Jean, perhaps she is enjoying time with her family. It's not like her not to answer a p.m, so fingers crossed.
Sylvia, I do hope the doctor has sorted out your nasty bite. It's awful when we get a midgey bite, and it wont be eased, but getting a swelling under it after such a time does need investigating. I am envious of your future journey, personally, I would love one of the train journeys that you both make....green with envy, thats me.
Jean, I had my hair cut again today, and have made an appointment for four weeks time for the next trim up. I like it done very 4/5 weeks, to keep it in shape, and with it being so hot, it's a lot cooler. Mind you, in the winter, my ears do tend to freeze.
I will say cheerio from a boiling hot day here in Kent, am off to prepare a nice salad for our tea tonight. Hugs Mo xxx

Hi
I have my hair pinned up in a very short pony tail :-)
The doctors (I saw both the Resident and his superior) suspect I have Erysipelas, a bacterial infection of the skin, resulting from that mossie bite. I'm on a 7-day course of antibiotic (1 4xday)
The doc marked the outer limits of the redness and rash, and another mark on my lower arm and on the upper arm. If there is no improvement in 48 hours from when I saw him, or the redness has gone past the outside marks ......... I have to go to Emergency to get a stronger antibiotic by intravenous.
I also was told to buy the lowest dose of an over-the-counter histamine usually taken for allergies, and take 1 or 2 every 4-6 hours.
Tomorrow, July 1st, is Canada Day ........ the 148th birthday of the formation of Canada

Hello girls,
Sorry not been on here for a while, I have been busy trying to get some special cards done. I have made new baby, sympathy, anniversary, and wedding cards and also making Christmas cards in between the others.
My cousin's funeral is on Thursday which is in S. Wales, but we are not able to go down to it, I'm afraid. My brother and sister in law are going to it, so they will represent us. We are not able to stay overnight and It is too far to go down and back home again in one day, as it would mean Alun having to drive four hundred miles in one day.
Christie's nan was diagnosed with throat cancer on Friday,so Christie has been very upset . Richard told us that she cried over most of the weekend. I felt so helpless, not living near enough to be there for her.
Michael's brother and his partner had a baby girl early hours of Saturday morning, she was six weeks early and weighed only four and a half pounds. I've made the cards, so will have to go and get her a present soon.
Alun still hasn't heard anything about having an angiogram, it's.five weeks since he seen the specialist.
Mo, crossing my fingers that all will go well for Roly on the 10th. My friend Janet is having a lot of pain with her knees and hips, she only has to walk a short distance and she is in agony, she can;t even do the shopping anymore. So don't know how on earth she is going to manage. I know that her doctor told her that eventually she will need to have her hips and knees replaced, but she said that she doesn't want them done.
Jean, hope you managed to get your hair done and deliver your cards as well.
I also seen that programme on New Zealand, it looks a beautiful country.I would love to go there one day, but I think that's as far we will get.
Glad to hear that the conservatory roof is keeping it a lot cooler for you so that it is a lot more comfortable to sit in now. It is too hot here for me,I have the fan on for most of the day.
Sylvia, hope the antibiotics will clear the nasty insect bite that you have on your arm, It must be very painful and uncomtortable. Thinking about you.
Your holiday that you and OH are planning for the autumn, sounds wonderful, both Alun and myself would love to have a holiday spent travelling on a train. I envy you both.
Ann, the photos of your holiday are lovely. I love the dress you are wearing when you and Tony went for your special meal.
Sending love to Huia and Marie amd hope that you and your families are all well.
I'm off to bed now so will chat again soon.
Take care.
Love and best wishes.Sallie. xxx. <3 <3

Hello Sallie so pleased to see you are o.k :-D :-D once the card making bug gets you time just flies ;-) ;-) I have just bought the little Sapphire cutting machine off C/C ,and have been sorting out all the many smallish dies I have ready for when it arrives, it will be good as I will be able to sit whilst doing leaves and such like, its such a dinky little machine and will be quite useful , I wont need to use the big machines every time....
It seems a while for Aluns date to come but at least it may show its not that over serious..Lets pray that is reason.... athough the waiting is hard...
So sorry to hear about Christies mother, I do hope it can be treated and a good result follows.....
I managed to take two lots of cards to the various hospice shops, all going down nicely , so will do some odd ones now and then , also getting the Christmas cards done, I have a boxful already but will need a lot more...just made a Silver wedding card for our Goddaughter .... cant believe she has been married that long... our Diamond is due next March :-0 :-0
Mo, hugs for Roly, its a bit daunting whatever age you are when ops are to be done so extra loving care for him and you also.... <3 <3 <3
wiil be thinking about all our friends here and abroad, take care in the heatwave.
love and hugs Jean xxx <3 <3 <3

Busy busy Sallie, glad you are ok anyway. I am trying to get a scrap book done of the cruise for our son. Need to finish it be end of next week. Overcast here today and showery although we could do with a good downpour for the garden, as it is it is just damp. still warm but cooler than yesterday when it was 31 in our garden. Loved having the sun though.
Mo hope all goes well for Rolly's op. Always worrying at any age but will be thinking of him
Jean you did well supplying two shops, well done. And yet another machine to play with, haven't seen that one. Still I don't get much use out of the ones I have got so hadn't better buy more. By the way did you get the stamps, though I'd get a big book rather than a couple of small ones. :-D :-D

Should be there by now Jean must be 5 days since I posted it. If it doesn't arrive it probably means somebody found what was inside. Over £6 worth stamps.

Hello girls, a bit cooler here today, thank goodness. It was 33 here yesterday, and heard from Richard and Christie last night, they told us it was 37 there, but they do live near Heathrow. Like me, they both don't like the hot weather, but Alun, Jennie and Michael love it.
Jean, like Ann, I haven't heard of that new die cutting machine either. I don't use the eBosser at all, I much prefer to use the Grand Calibur.
I have to make two cards for my friend's grandaughter. she will be twelve on the 14th of this month, trouble is, I can't find anything to suit her age, everything is either too old or too babyish.
Hope that they will sort out the conservatory roof for you tomorrow, it's awful to have water coming in, whether it's from a leaking roof or any other way. Also hope. the electrics are okay now
Ann, by the sound of it, you are going to be very busy over the next week, trying to finish the Scrapbook of your cruise, to give your son by the end of next week. I'm sure you will get it done in good time. He will love it.
Mo, hope both you and Roly are okay and coping with the hot weather.
Sylvia, hope all is well with both you and OH and that your arm is healing well.
Thinking of Huia and Marie, and hope all is well with you both.
Well girls, I am ready for a nice cuppa now, so will chat again soon.
Take care.

Hi Jean, thanks for the suggestions, I hope I can find something for her. I did have quite a few things I could have used, but have used them all up. Oh well, I expect I will find something, somewhere. lol!!
Alun's appointment for his angiogram came through this morning. He has to be at the hospital by eight o clock on Monday, 20th July, he has to take an overnight bag with him just in case he will need to stay in. Just hope that things will go okay, so that he can come home.
Hope you are all okay. I might look in again later on.

OH MY WORD, what has happened to the post I sent the other day, it's vanished into thin air.
Thank goodness Aluns appointment has come through Sallie. Are they doing it through his groin or wrist love ? Roly had a lovely bruise in his groin following his, he kept teling people that I had kicked him somewhere private. Thank goodness people know me better than that. Apart from that, I can't get my legs up that far now.
It was lovely catching up on everyones news, I send you all my very best wishes.
Monday we have got the hospital with Roly, he has got to have his bloods done, and speak to the anaesthatist (sp).prior to his operation.
A very dear friend of ours is in hopsital, with suspected blood poisoning. Poor Enids leg is up like a balloon, and she has to great big blisters either side of her leg. From her knee up, her leg looks white, but below her knee, it's very very red and swollen.
I shall be relieved when it's this time next week, when god willing, we can have a break from hospital visits, for either ourselves, or our friends. Sorry girls, for being a down right misery guts.
Take care, love to all, Mo xxx

Hi Mo, nice to see your post, I was beginning to wonder if there was something wrong there. I will be thinking of Roly on Monday and especially on Friday when he has his operation.
Hope that your friend will soon get a lot better Mo, it is very worrying for her and her family.
I rang my cousin this evening to see how he is after his sister's funeral which was on Thursday. He was telling me that his eldest daughter has to go to the hospital for her check up ready for her operation on the 24th of July.. She has been waiting a twele month for a hysterectomy, she is hoping that they don't change the date, she just wants to get it over and done with now.
Richard let us know last weekend, that Christie's Nan has been diagnosed with throat cancer, so they went down to Eastbourne to see her last Sunday. As you can imagine Christie has been very upset and cried a lot of the time last weekend.
We had terrible lightening and heavy rain storms, but not much thunder last night, Jay didn't like it at all, so Michael had to come down stairs to stay with him, so none of us had much sleep at all, so will be glad to get to bed tonight, I am frightened of thunder storms anyway, but last night they were terrifying. , Speak to you soon. Good luck to Roly on Monay.Crossing all my fingers and toes.
Hello to all our friends on here.
Take care everyone.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hello girls, wherever you are. Hope that you are all okay.
Jean, not sure how far the cancer has got with Christie's Nan, I am hoping and praying that that it hasn't got too far. I know that she was to have a couple more tests last week to find out how advanced it was, but Christie hasn't heard anything from her, so she is assuming that her Nan hasn't had the results yet.
Mo, hope all went well for Roly at the hospital on Monday. Will be thinking about him on Friday and hope and pray that the operation will go well.
Also hope that your friend Enid is is improving and that she will soon be well enough to go home. Will Roly be in the same hospital as Enid?
Hope all our other friends are all okay.
Take care.
