What would this be in todays money................

My husband was saying yesterday that the last made to measure suit he had made was in 1970 it cost £35 and he wondered what that would be in todays money. All the suits he has had since then have been from department stores M & S ect and have cost under £200. |

to me, in 1970 £35 would have been about two weeks wages......including overtime.. maybe 3 weeks at bare time....... |
