Let's hope his luck stays with him throughout his tour of duty, and rubs off on his mates too, as Vicky said. Nothing short of a miracle really, and I bet he couldn't believe it either. He said in an interview the medics were a bit queasy about taking off his helmet, probably wondered what they would find!

hes a lucky guy
his guardian angel was watching over him,
he will keep that as a trophy now, im sure

sad though that he had to borrow a mates why didnt the army get him another,
i know they are in afghanistan but they do carry supplies

hes so lucky though youd let him borrow anything wouldnt you, lol

hope hes got over the shock too,

A soldier has been described as "the luckiest in the British Army" after a bullet went through his helmet, but missed his head by 2mm.

Private Leon "Willy" Wilson, 32, a Territorial Army soldier from Manchester, was knocked over by the impact of the shot in Afghanistan.

But he was left without a mark after the bullet ripped through his headgear.
