Albert Schweitzer:
Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate.

Dad had the pacemaker fitted yesterday, I am pleased to hear. Just waiting to hear he is able to go home now. He and my Mum might be coming here to live for a while?

Happy birthday today to Dad too, especially as it is a birthday I was unsure he would make.

And a youth said, Speak to us of Friendship
And he answered saying:
Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.
For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.
