I went to town yesterday and passed a poor man stood propped against a wall, I was upset to see the sores on his legs and he was obviously of very scruffy appearance, he had an old blanket round him but when I looked a bit closer, he was obviously a young bloke.

I walked past, as most people were doing, and went into a shop but when I came out I had to go and give him a couple of pounds.

I went home and still feel bad about this

a. because I had plenty of money in my purse, and only gave him a couple of pounds and

b. should I have asked him if he was okay and then got someone to help him, because he obviously wasn't..

I know he may be on drugs but he wasn't actually begging he was just stood there, he may have been mentally ill, he may be alcoholic, I don't know, but he is a human being and all I know is that I left him and walked home to my lovely home and now I feel bad.

Any views folks and I don't mean to distress anybody with this.
