According to the rules we must communicate in English, which is why I now sign myself as No English name (must change my board name).

We are also not supposed to deviate from the topic which so many of us do on so many threads.

We are also not allowed to post same or similar material more than once. A week or so ago several people had itchy trigger fingers and their posts were duplicated. Tut tut. And of course nudges are duplications.

I have requested a review of the sticky re trees since it is duplicated on at least one other board so dont be surprised if I disappear in a cloud of smoke.

No English name. (In a fighting mood this morning).

I agree that is racist.

My local language is known as Brissolean. A beginner's guide:

Fooorrk, Wooourld, Caaaastle and Trouserrs - give you an idea.
a = al, so asda is asdal, and the Nova Scotia pub is the Nova Scotial. The one exception is Ikea - one would expect it to be known as Ikeal. However Brissoleans refer to it solely as 'the silent blue money-robber'.
The footwear known elsewhere in the world as plimsolls, in Brissolean are 'Daps'.

It is considered quite normal in Brissolean to greet somebody with the words "Alroight me luvver? Ow' bist?", meaning " Hello old chap, how do you do?"
When getting off of a bus, it is considered polite to say "Cheers Drive"

"Gert Lush!" means "How very nice!"

Alroight me luvvers - ope you all get that

LOL

It is St Georges Day just about so I think communicating in English is permitted today, however, tomorrow I'll be resorting to my normal Scouse :-)

I put this thread up because we have not had a proper explanation of why Taffs support thread for Daff was deleted. Some of us were referred to the Guidelines for using the board so I was trying to work out from them why the thread disappeared.

I have asked for a review of their sticky re trees since it is duplicated so I could disappear too.

No English name.

Hi Huianotsohotnow,
A number of long standing threads have been disappearing from the boards recently. I strongly suspect that GR now have put a 1 yr time limit on threads starting from around March 08.

My main suspicion for this was the deletion of Shimms's Sibling thread. This was deleted exactly one year to the day of it being started.

With the number of these long standing threads being deleted for no apparent cause. Logic says it has to be down to GR.

I had that argument shot down in flames, the other day, Steve. Another suggestion was that GR was 'spring cleaning' (pretty indescriminately, if you ask me) before selling on.

So because I speak Strawn or Ozzie, and not english, now am unable to communicate on these boards.

With Huia on this one, it is Racist.

Thanks for pointing that out Huia...... but did you know that if you were born in England, you cannot say that on a British Passport, ....... the nationality must be put down as British and not English.....

.....even in the supermarket, you can buy Irish beef, Scottish Beef and Welsh lamb......clearly marked.......but not English beef......it is always marked British........I am sure there is some sort of conspiricy to wipe out the mention of England.....

Even in America, when you say you are from England.......they say......Oh you are a Brit then....

lol.......Noenglishname.......not a Pom according to our Australian cousins when we visited........we are as laid back as them.....

I am no "little Englander"......Queen and Country and all that.......1/2 Scottish with a Dad born in N.Ireland to English parents and with a smack of Irish emigrating to Scotland in the potato famine.......so a mongrel really.....

Born in England, and a bit peed off with us having to apologise for calling ourselves English.......even flying the St. Georges Cross is deemed as being racist......and I am far from that.......I can fly the Saltire, you can fly the Welsh Dragon even the Cornish flag is seen on many cars.......but the English flag, and you are a racist.......bliddy stupid....

sally

btw ..... bliddy is Anglo Saxon.....
