Not sure of the entire background of the case, was the mother able to make her own decisions as to where she wanted to stay?

I may be wrong but I don't know how they could say that she was being ill treated and neglected when her daughter appeared to be worried about her in the care home.

SAW THIS YESTERDAY, AND FIND IT SO DISGUSTING.

TO PUT A FAMILY THROUGH THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE.

THE DAUGHTER OBVIOUSLY WASN'T HAPPY WITH THE CARE HER MOTHER WAS BEING GIVEN, AND WAS IN THE FORTUNATE POSITION TO BE ABLE TO GIVE HER MOTHER THE CARE AND ATTENTION SHE NEEDED IN A LOVING HOME.

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WE READ OF THE BAD CARE THAT MANY ELDERLY PEOPLE ARE GIVEN IN CARE HOMES??

SURELY THIS COULD'VE BEEN HANDLED IN A MUCH MORE DELICATE AND HUMANE WAY. BATTERING RAMS INDEED!!!!!!

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE PERSON WHO GAVE THE ORDER FOR THEM TO BE USED HAULED OVER THE COALS FOR THIS.
JUST SHOWS WHAT AN A@@ THE LAW IS!!

And presumably the family have still got to pay the care fees!

I know the lady who kidnapped her mother and I am satisfied that she thought she was doing the right thing. Also, having heard the acting head of whatever bit of our Council this comes under on PM last night, I am equally satisfied that he knows that they overcooked this.

I would have thought that they would be overjoyed that someone would want to care for their elderly relative, rather than just dumping them. There were obviously issues with standard of care her mother was receiving.

Nanny state - makes my blood boil!

Pitty the daughter did not know about this law, she would have been able to do the same to the care home, who may not be very caring.

A woman who removed her elderly mother from a care home amid worries over her health was shocked to see police and social workers on her doorstep with a battering ram ready to snatch her back.
