Hi Val just feeling a bit off today but it is so annoying you see details of a possible relation you send message and no reply I always answer my messages and try to help folks been on this site and others near on 3yrs and still filling in gaps you have to back track sometime,but this site is very good asked a few questions and someone always helps so I stick with this group of unmet friends. thankss nadiia

Hi Nadia, Well, from a wise old head of about three months on this particular site I reckon, that despite some grumbles about this and that, on the whole the personages inhabiting this site tend to do their utmost to help reply to almost every sensible query that is posted. And even I am now beginning to recognise that intelligence is often a missing factor in some of the questions.

Other sites are really excellent, with good ideas, features and ways of doing things. Some family tree set ups are better organised.

However you need to have the information before you are able to set up a tree. That is where this site wins hands down with the amazing band of volunteers who are such experts at retrieving information.

I absolutely love the way freebdm have their search thingy set up and how it shows the information. Others may hate that idea. And I have looked at other "community" pages on other sites, and they all have their own ways of doing things.

I suppose it's what you are most comfortable with. The only way to find what suits you best is to try different sites and methods of doing your research.

Why is it on other sites you hope you see a relatives name and contact details--then you send a message an d wait and wait and wait for reply do they ignore me delete me or cannot be boverred to reply It makes me so sad and frustrated and after so long I give up Looking for some relatives drives me mad nadia
