Karen, know how your feeling, have just got back from visiting my mum who has had a fall and broken her femur , took us 2hours to get to Bristol, but worth the trouble so am sending you and your dad healing thought and will add your dad in my prayers tonight. x

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and words. Thank you Vicky for putting up this thread, it's really very sweet of you to do so. Once again, GR people prove to be so full of kindness and prayers when needed. And I'm very grateful.

I'm also grateful that I happen to be be in the UK just now, when my Dad is in hospital, and I am able to go with my Mum every day to visit him.
He's having lots of tests for a throat/stomach problem.

Thank you all so much.

P.S. I would also like to say how thankful I am to all the staff at the Royal Gwent hospital who are looking after him. They are all such kind and caring people.

Thanks to those who have sent good wishes.
I've just got back from visiting and was pleased to see Dad quite perky today, more so than yesterday when he was very low . He's still being fed and watered by IV, perhaps they'd slipped a large G&T in it for him today!!!!
