Yes buses are not too bad in CMK Bletchley. But when you are on the new estates then the problems start.

I am moving down to Uxbridge so got better buses also shopping centre will be 5mins walk for me.

Yes i would have done something more if i was going to stay here, would have to or move to place where there is a bus.

Dont know why they cant sort it out. Always been a problem here with them my brother moved here 40 yrs ago, mum was here 32 yrs. so have know and come to stay(befor i moved here 6yrs ago) But didnt know the buses were this bad.

I agree with last bit.And also how would like it if disabled as will, i dont need wheelchair yet, but cant walk to far.I have a free bus pass, the plus bus the green one that goes around you have to pay for

If you were staying in Milton Keynes long term I would say investigate the community buses, particularly if walking to the new nearest stop is an issue for you. I don't know who can use the service but regularly see the community buses in the city centre and they now have a designated parking bay outside the new sainsburys.

I thought the bus service were I grew up (village in the middle of nowhere)was bad, but at least there was a service and the buses would never just go past a stop as they do sometimes in MK.

I managed to survive in MK without a car for several years but live and work in the city centre, I though fully sympathise with anyone who's reliant on the bus service though it is very poor. Thing is in Milton Keynes city centre they are building more office's and flats and the parking situtations getting worse, so the car friendly city's becoming less and less car friendly. You'd think with the revenue the council must get from the parking fines (there's enough wardens in the city centre) they'd be able to fund a good bus service.

MK could have a brilliant bus service, but it seems beyond the powers that be to sort things out. Although visiting the town you would not realise this with the big bus stations they have by the train station and shopping centre, both seem to be mainly for show. Until I moved to Milton Keynes I'd never seen bus stations that have so few buses, in other towns you are normally trying to figure out which bus is the one you want as they are fighting to get to the stands but in MK its pretty easy its the only one in the bus station.

By the way you might never have noticed this but the hardest places to get parked in the city centre are near both council offices, clearly the majority of their staff would rather pay a small fortune to park then deal with the bus service.

Edit: I bet there's not one councillor in MK or a member of their family who has to use the local bus service, maybe they should have their cars confiscated for a week, be banned from using taxi's then they'd know what the voting public have to put up with.

No its not is it sazian,

They want to try living with it. Always the same in eveything. if they dont have to put up with it, they dont want to know,

But as soon as its happing to them, then it get done.

Bottom line -

You can lobby your local councillor etc., but it's Gov't that has to do something.

By which I mean seriously subsidise public transport - make it regular, make it clean, make it user friendly - and then seriously tax car users who choose not to take advantage,

Not difficult, is it?

Most weeks its in the papers about the buses,

another firm took them over and still not any good.

It took them 2 yrs with everyone getting togeher sayng a bus is needed here. Have had the bus for just over 18mts,

They say its not uses much so cut it out. Even if it was just every hour wouldnt mind.

When i did run it stopped at 6 and none on a sunday.

But i am moving away from MK hope fully by end of next month. Be going backdown to stay with my daugther again Friday until i move.

Its a place that was built for people with cars, But with them saying want more people to use buses you think they would make more buses not less.

well elections are on the way - get your local councillor or MP behind you - fight back - if I was there I certainly would - I'd start a campaign, I'd leaflet the area - no way would I lie down and play dead
