Yes after a long wait my great uncle WW2 RAF service record arrived on Saturday, now i've the the job trying to work out what it all means.

coming together now, didn't realise how much trainning was given, he joined up 14/8/41 5 months in recruit centers, 3 month @ radio school, then the aircrew selection board, back to radio school, then on to air gunner trainning 3 months, 3 months at convervsion units it was oct 1943 before his first bombing raid, changed Squdrons in Nov 1943, killed in action 15/1/1944 over Germany.

He lost 2 brothers in the first war, so out 5 sons me g grandad had 3 was KIA, now that was sad, 3 branches cut of me tree before the grew.
