We have a 1976 Silver Cross pram and enquired about getting it refurbished.

It is quite sound apart from the tyres have perished.

The quote was £500.

No way.

Seems that one firm have a monopoly on spare parts and can charge what they like.

I bet there's someone, somewhere with a decent set of tyres, but scruffy chassis.

Is it worth looking at ads. for similar prams and fixing your pram with parts from another one?

Hi Brian
Just looked on a well known auction site, loads of Silver Cross prams on there. I don't know if any are like yours, but it might be worth a look. Hope this helps.
