I actually typed "Pervis" and that came up.

Sometimes you can find them by leaving surname blank and just putting birthplace, year and parents names.

george purvis born 1873 he is on the 1891 census as follows
john purvis 1850 coal miner born blaydon co durham head
marg ann 1847 wife born stanley co durham
george my great grand father born 1873 ryton co durham miner
then alice 1872 stanley could someone check to see if they can find him please many thanks xx
