Hi - can somone help me with a few questions please?
When i have found the right cenus record of my grandfather and click on images, it comes up with loads of peoples names and surnames. I Find my grandfather in the list of names but the questions are as followed.

*First Question is;- What are the names and surenames above and below my grandfather? I know that the ones with him are his brothers and sisters, mother and father but what are the familys below and above them?

*Second Question is ;- Is there anyway that i can see when they where born (DOB)?

*Thrid Question is;- How do i get to see images (pictures) of them?

Thank you for your time and coperation :)
Much Appericated!

1) ON the original, the first person in the house should be listed as HEAD
The people listed below the Head ahold be living in the same house until you reach the next Head who will either be living next door or sharing the same house but unconnected

2) Only from a birth cert. The census only lists the age

3) Images? Do you mean your ancestors photo?

Hi Andy,

The census image has the number/ name of the building on the left column. The people above and below will be the neighbours households. You will see each household begins with the head of the household.

There is no way that the images will show you the date of birth as the census enumerator only asked peoples ages.

There are no pictures on census records, the only 'image' is the census page itself.

Hope this is of help to you.

Andy you can only get DOB's from birth certs. A DOB is shown on newer death certs but it may or may not be right.

Old photos turn up from time to time, often from contacts.
