I gather that you feel pig sick, a bit like Gordon Brown is at the moment after all the bad press he has been getting about his leadership style.

Seriously though, the big problem is that no-one really knows how bad it is. The only good thing is that the medical profession is in agreement that it needs to be taken seriously. Down side to this, if it does turn out to be a none event then next time this sort of thing comes along, will they be accused of crying wolf?

Oh Thanks Maz and Ann for your thoughts. Well the doctors put it down to an infection, as they couldn't find anything else. They even suggeted at one stage that it could have been the Pancreas, the consultant who did the Gall Bladder op. dropped in, and said oops looks like I took the wrong thing out. Eh, I thought, and I had a heart attack after the op, thank you very much. But in the end, they found nothing. Since last Easter, and excluding the Gall Bladder op. I have been rushed in 16 times, and still they can't find anything. Oh well, I will just have to take LESS water with me Brandy at night
Thanks again

Thanks to you all for answering. Just had to have a lay down for a couple of hours, but I think that is more down to a delicate stomach and the aftermath of a Gall Bladder op. Daff, I know you are particularly vulnerable at the moment, so please take extra care. I've not been abroad, I only go to me local Mo......son's on a Friday. I'm like a bottle of old port, and don't travel well. I have me flu jab every year, and have also had the pnuemonia jab.
Once Again, many thanks All

Gas man came this morning..... he had a lovely suntan... my first question was... *have you been on holiday? If so, where did you go?* He answered yes, Gran Canaria...... had he said Mexico, he wouldn't have got past the door, lol... my next question was my usual one... have you got a cold, or been in contact with chicken pox or shingles, that you know of!!

Bless him... like most folk, he took it well!!

Got this when i googled

Swine flu symptoms include high fever, body aches, headaches, coughing, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue and chills.
___________

With normal Flu i don't ever remember having diarrhea or vomiting

I have just googled and this is one of the paragraphs.

What are the signs and symptoms of swine flu in people?
The symptoms of swine flu in people are similar to the symptoms of regular human flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Some people have reported diarrhea and vomiting associated with swine flu. In the past, severe illness (pneumonia and respiratory failure) and deaths have been reported with swine flu infection in people. Like seasonal flu, swine flu may cause a worsening of underlying chronic medical conditions.

Julia,

I think it is just like normal flu symptoms.....!

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 29 Apr 2009 12:17

Well, as it is of particular importance to me just now... I have tried to find out.... only answer I have been able to glean is *flu-like* symptoms, lol... achey bones/joints, fever, flushed, headache, eyes sore etc etc.

I think the answer is just to keep vigilant... this new flu on the block is, like most others, going to cause more problems for those who are vulnerable... and they should be offered innoculations fairly soon.
