Buddha:
If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change.

I may not be able to add for a while as my parents have come this evening. Dad is incredibly strong and altough looking frail he is improving day by day.
Mum is very confused and has been unwell since he came out of hospital and to my sisters. He is taking over again and telling her to just sit and won't let her do even the little things she had started doing when he wasn't there.

So please forgive me if I cannot do this for a bit. They are buying a retirement apartment near my sister(30 miles away) and it could take 4 - 5 weeks.

Best wishes to you all and good luck to everyone

Thanks Brian(i) and Hazel. Hope you are both OK.

Well I've survived the first 30 hours. It is hard work being a carer. Dad got himself up. Mum needs help. Medication is a big thing and I don't much like doing the blood tests on Mum or giving her her insulin. But I managed to do it.

They both ate well today and we had friends to dinner, previously arranged. I also have my son's cocker spaniel here for the weekend he's only a year old and still a puppy really, again a long standing agreement.

To top it off I had an emergency dentists appointment !!! Last night a crowned tooth came loose, cutting the gum, but not falling out. So call at 8:30 this morning. My lovely dentist saw me at 3:30. All fixed now so glad as itis Bank Holiday weekend and my husband is working early shift for the next 9 days, not home til about 4:00.

Hope others had a calmer day and that you all enjoy your May Day weekend.

Alex Noble:
If I have been of service, if I have glimpsed more of the nature and essence of ultimate good, if I am inspired to reach wider horizons of thought and action, if I am at peace with myself, it has been a successful day.

Well dog has been walked.

Dad was up early as my husband went to work at 5:00. He's getting stronger.

Just got Mum up and tidied up, washed hair this morning. Dealt with the blood tests and insulin. Having breakfast now.

Peace and Love to you all as CarolB would say
