Sue Report 1 May 2009 19:44

Had my treadmill heart stress test today. The called for the consultant once they spotted the crutch and he asked if I was willing to give it a go. I managed 8 mins 30 secs before the hip gave up the ghost and the good news is:

The results were fine. He was disappointed that I couldn't manage the full test to get more results but these will do for now. That means no intrusive angiogram and I can stop the Warfarin but stay on heart meds for 12 months and aspirin for life.

He explained that I was most vulnerable during the first 30 days after the first heart attack and I have passed that so I am a happy girl.

*proudly looks at I was a good girl today for the doctor badge*
