Elizabeth I agree there is often little available to help all those who need it, Citizens Advice Bureaus are inundated with people needing help and they don't have the funding to hire the people to keep the waiting times down, and mental health places are not very good at helping folk with problems, counselling is expensive and again waiting lists are for months ahead. I think Relate or whatever they are called now, are under pressure too to see people in time to help them get through troubles. When people need help, they need it now not in six months' time, no wonder so many folk are in despair. Even going bankrupt seems to cost money, so people can't go ahead with it, or get even deeper in debt to sort it all out.
Like hamsters on a wheel I think they must feel.

Positive thoughts for all

Dear Liz

I was not referring to GR members.

I was talking about life in general dealing with employers, doctors, councils, etc and how people are treated by them.

My message is about how good support and advice groups for parents, people with illness, other problems, etc can make such a difference.

Elizabeth, I am surprised at you saying you have seen the total lack of help and support given, I hope you don't mean on the boards as there is a wonderful network of friendship and caring on here. Many people become real friends as well as cyber ones, and a huge amount of love and support is readily available for everyone who needs it, just look at the thread for Daff and the Depression thread for two examples, there have been many more.
I have been lucky enough to make contact with some wonderful people, both male and female who care about others, even if they don't know what they look like or live hundreds or thousands of miles away.

Just ask and you will see what help comes your way. In fact you don't have to ask, you can say something by the by and someone caring will pick up on it and send you a message of support or put up a thread for you or do even more.

to all my wonderful friends, thank you, you know how much you all mean to me.

Dear All at GR

In my every day life, I know how many people are going through bad and stressful events or illness, etc.

People in authority, some of whom do not take the responsibility of their job but like their pay packet and perks, need to wake up.
The word responsibility seems to have been eradicated from the dictionary.

This is the 21st century!

There are support groups for almost everything under the sun.

Just google, the words of the problem. There is practical and helpful info and advice for you.

There is so much out there.

If you have a problem, please think about this.

For those who I have seen on GR going though very difficult times, my very warm and gentle wishes to you all.

For contentment and peace.
