Just had a letter put through my door.
Wrong name
Wrong road
Wrong town
Wrong postcode for my address.
However it has the Right house number and is in the same county!!!
What on earth is the use of the postcode - and how can they get it sooo wrong!

Hi

Always happens at my house as the numbers are out of sequence, and unless the postie is paying attention I always get next doors post.
Also I have have had right place wrong street and even right place wrong village.

When we had a local post office, I would take mis-posted letters down there and they would tell the sorting office/postman.
All I can do now is re-post it, and hope the recipient doesn't have to pay , as I'm posting an already 'cancelled' letter!

HI LWD -
I have no idea what it contains - probably a birthday card as it's rigid and in a purple envelope!

Chris - no return address - I've written the postcode in very big letters on the front - hopefully the lady will get it before Christmas!

Hayley - ?????

Maggie,
There must be amazing odds against receiving the same wrong letter back again.
Surely you haven't got the only house in your town with that house number?

Hello

You all send lucky to get post at all.

Instead of the twice daily postal deliveries we had in the good old days, we are now lucky to get post three times a week.

That includes junk mail too.

What is wrong with the postal service?

What is wrong with old fashioned letters and cards?

Feel grumpy about this.

Best wishes

Maggie you have made me laugh - can't believe it came back !! I would lie in wait for the postie and give it directly to him/her, together with a flea in the ear! maybe it will get to the right person then before their NEXT birthday!

ps please let us know if anything else happens!
