Thank you everyone. It is much appreciated.
I had a better night's sleep which does make me feel I can cope with this news and the worry I have with my OH,as he had to go up on in Oxygen intake this week.He hasn't been out since the beginning of Oct last year and just manages to get around from his bedroom downstairs to sit in his chair and watch TV or read his books and the paper.

I'm not complaining as I take it in my stride, but this news of Jane did give me a knock.

Brenda, how sorry I am to read this, I had hoped all would go well for your daugher in law and son and family after all she went through, let's hope the op will still go ahead and then she can have further treatment ro help her stay with her family for a while longer yet.

Her children are very young, they waited a while to have them so deserve to have lots more time together. She is very brave to still hold to her plans to come to her sister's wedding, I hope she will manage it but it gives her something further to aim for doesn't it?

Please try not to worry or you might make yourself poorly and that would be a further worry for your poor son, am sending positive thoughts for her and all the family,
love

Dear Brenda from Wales

I send warm and gentle thoughts to you and your family at this time.

Don't beat yourself up. Concentrate on the practical things and be positive.

Try and get a decent nights sleep. It helps when you are strained.

With sincere best wishes, to you dear Brenda.

This is sad news about your D.I.L and being so far away you must feel pretty helpless about the whole situation.
I truly believe in the power of Prayer and Spiritual Healing. I hope that she finds comfort in it as well. She will be in my prayers as will be the whole family.

Love and Peace

Thankyou Helen and dutch.

It is my d.i.l dutch, and my son who live in Oz.She is still planning to come over to the Uk in July,on her own,for her sister's wedding.I think she is very brave. She is a healer herself, being a physiotherapist and accupuncturist, and has recently taken up spiritual healing.

Many of you may remember last Oct/Nov I asked for your support for my d.i.l.in Oz when she had part of her femur taken away and a new hip due to the cancer which returned after over 5 years from having a double mastectomy.
She goes into hospital this week for a partial hysterectomy, which had been suggested as a prevention.
Last night I called and heard the devastating news that the cancer has returned to her sternum(breast bone). She is 47 and my son and her have been married 25 years but have been inseperable since they were at school.
They have 2 children 9 and 8.I feel so frustrated as I can't leave
OH.
