Trust me to have ancestors called Fisher - there are loads and loads. It would help if you only got hot matches from the area you specify as place of birth. Can anyone tell me how to narrow this down a bit please?

Hi June,
I have Fishers from Derbyshire so I know what you mean except mine are from a small village and they all have the same christian names as other Fisher families in the village.
I don't get any hot matches as I chose not to. When you have a Mary Smith and a James Brown in your tree it is wise to pass up this option.
I used to spend all night trying to delete hot matches and they were nowhere near any of my counties of interest.

Think you are missing the point of hot matches ladies i have a few fishers from Bucks in my tree ,browns too ,plus Baird,s and Sturgess from all over the world
I feel it's worth trawling though a hundred matches for maybe ONE new contact, besides ,it's fun.Fred.
