It is to the South East of London Not far from Canary Wharf. On my Data base it come up as Stepney, Middlesex, England. About 2-2 1/12 miles from the centre of London.

Andrew just try London if your are working with Ancestry or Find My Past or some other data base.

Sometimes the less information the better it is.

What Gail means is there is no H in Stepney. must have been misspelt.

All my husband's family were born in Stepney, and the registration district was Mile End Old Town. if no joy on this try Mile End New Town.

Stepney was classed as Middlesex years ago not London

i have a family member that come from London Stephney.. but when i go to place it in the where born place it doesnt come up with anything. what would it come under?
