My computer has recently started playing up in as much as when I first start it up I will get a 'No signal" sign and she won't fire up. I have to keep turning it off and starting it up again and again until it does pick up the signal. Also the curser keeps freezing and the only way I can shift that is to switch off and on again until it moves. |

Check your plugs - all of them. I know it's the first lesson we learn, but often forget. I find it best with the modem, to take all plugs completely out and put them back again. |

To be honest Norman, it seems like it could be your video card, it's the 'no signal' bit. |

Expensive job, and probably always worthwhile just taking the cover off every now and then to check the fans are all working properly... |

I have the same problem every time I turn this on, I have to check the bottom panel, and usually find "I have NO SIGNAL" so just right click on the bubble and it tells me when I have "signal restored" and whether it is from very low to excellent (very infrequent). I wonder is this the same? |
