Help needed to install Olympus Master Software

I have had my camera for a couple of years and want to be able to put my photos on pc.I am following the instructions to install software but have become stuck. I have followed instructions got as far as set up then it says
Olympus Master is configuring your new software installation

Installing necesary components please wait.
Well i have waited, but nothing happens,i cant even turn off my computer as it wont let me close down. Any help will be gratefully recd.

Dear Maureen

Have you got the item under guarantee?

The shop could offer advice.

Could you ask at PC world? Go a bit careful, some of them charge for different things.


Maybe one of the night shift might be able to help with this one.

Thank you Elizabeth for your reply, no i bought my camera two years ago and only recently got my laptop and decided to try and install the software.I have a PC World close by so will ask in there,thanks for the tip.

Christina, do you think that is why my printer wont work on my new Vista laptop? Its two years old, a Lexmark

Hello ladies,

A quick tip for you - go to the website of the vendor of the printer or camera you want to install on your PC. The site will normally have a support tab where you can download new software for your item. The software that allows your device to interact with your PC is called a "driver".

Maureen - go to this link and see if you can select the right software for your camera and operating system:

Harpstrings, follow this link to see if you can download the correct driver for your Vista laptop:

http://www.lexmark.co.uk/lexmark/sequentialem/home/0,6959,252735_920309141_1033225382_en,00.html

Once you have downloaded the software, it should just be a case of installing it on your PC.
