Oh it's good to see old friends again, and new ones. Berona we have spoken before when you first posted, but you will have forgotten. Nice to meet you Elizabeth, although I have heard about you from Dutch so I feel I know you.
The last few messages read like an advert for carelinelol, I know I joke about it but I realize how important they are to my safety. I am really tottery on my feet now.
Better go check on tea.

Caz, glad you have realised the value of the 'necklace' My Mum had one and it does give a bit of reassurance.
Mind you, don't want you doing a Dutch too often, you try and stay on your feet!

Yeah Caz, back in action.
Never doubt the wonderful sense of security the necklace can give you in an emergency. One of them saved my mother's life when she tried to take out a door frame with her forehead, had passed clean out from blood loss by the time the manager of the apt bldg arrived, ambulance in hot pursuit, and my brother at the hospital when she arrived. Without the necklace she wouldn't have been able to call for help. Glad to know you will have that protection. Well worth any inconvenience.
So glad your news last week was better than expected.
Hugs across the pond,
Mary

Hello Caz,
We haven't spoken before, but I have read your earlier threads and knew you were moving house.

Apologies for using your thread to tell Jean I had nudged the abbreviations thread up, but I'm sure you will approve.

Sounds like you are in a good place. Yes, those neck buttons are a good idea. I'm considering one. Once I fall to the floor, I doubt that I would be able to get up on my own.

Take care and good luck in your new home.

Dear Yorkshire Caz

I am reasonably new to GR. Well, I have been here
quietly for 7 months.

Thank goodness for these neck pendant alarms.

Hope you are settling in allright.

Take care of yourselves.

Very best wishes to you and your family.

Hi Liz and all who posted after I last looked, thanks for messages. I did have a fall on Sat night when hubby was at home, I had come out of the kitchen and shut the door, the care line pull in the lounge was at other side and the kitchen pull on other side of kitchen door, no way could I get to either of them. My necklace button would definitely have been needed, I won't complain again about having to wear it. Hip is still very sore and knee stiff but otherwise I'm ok. I haven't seen a thread about me yet but I have been catching up with my banking and changing addresses all afternoon, as well as sleeping.

Thanks for your number Vicky, haven't got round to ringing yet but I will.
It's going to take me a long time to catch up on all the threads from the last month but I will enjoy trying.

Going for my tea now, it gets later and later.

Hi Caz, lovely to see you on here again at last! Been thinking about you but didn't have a chance to phone all weekend with o.h. being around. You know what he is like lol

I thought of something the other day and you have just reminded me lol, you won't get so much exercise now you are not walking so far round the house so watch those bikkies lol, only two instead of three or you will get a bigger rear end than me !

Take care, I am glad you have the careline necklace, it will give your hubby peace of mind that if you do have a tumble, (don't you dare! Dutch is enough) you can call for help very quickly.

We will chat soon, I will leave you to catch up a bit more first lol
love and hugs
Lizxxx

Has anyone nudged up the threads about you which Dutch and I think I put up while you were away?

Caz. Good to see you back. The unpacking will have to wait for today. LOL
It can't be anything of importance or it would've been unpacked by now, so there's your excuse.

Glad you have both settled into the flat, and hope your neighbours are nice.
It must be nice and cosy, being more compact and easier to get around.
Glad you liked tha tea towel. It was the only design the shop had, but I thought it was an insight into the kind of historical buildings in Edinburgh.

Take Care, and now I am settling down to watch a film.

hello everyone, yesterday was my first time on these pages can you explain how all this works i thought it was just for research, i did not know you could chat on here, everyone seems to know everyone else, you all seem to be friends, i'm not good with the p.c still learning, so anything abreviated i don't understand , yesterday i had to ask what a p.m was, this will put a smile on some faces i thought it was after mid-day lol
so i will make many mistakes i'm sure, but i'm willing to learn

Hi Clair, lovely to hear from you, the flat is very cosy and I am often surprised at how few steps are taken to get from lounge to bedroom, bathroom inbetween. The intercom still makes me jump when manager checks if we are all ok, then the buzzer when someone is visiting and wants the outside door open. I will get used to it soon though.
What I can't get used to is the care line I have to wear round my neck, I am one of the five residents who are badly and have to wear one.

All in all we are happy here now we are settling in.

Hello all, I am finally back on, and still havent a clue why I couldn't get connected before this. Thanks to Dutch and Liz for keeping me informed about all your doings and messages.

The move was hectic as the removal men came early so we were all at sixes and sevens, but we managed it in the end. Couldn't find things for ages and still have some boxes to unpack but I will take my time over it.

I'm glad to be back, I missed you all and the interesting threads, had no idea how much I relied on GR, it truly is my lifeline being housebound as I am.

Caz xx
