I watched it, she was lovely and such a shame she never had children as she would have made a lovely Mum. I was surprised she didn't help the lad out but she did donate to the place that helps people with food and so he would be helped indirectly through that donation. Also I am sure the lad who ran that support network would help him get some furniture etc, seems bad that he lost his stuff through water damage from the upstairs flat having a fire? missed some of that bit so not sure on facts, but no doubt he will be ok.
O.h. said he thought it wrong to help the Polish couple but I think she just connected with them, and at least the father was working and not scrounging off the state. She could see the woman was at her wit's end with it all, but strange that they took on a flat again by the look of it and not a house with a garden, altho they had the park over the road from the new place, not the same as letting children out in your own garden and she could maybe have grown stuff to eat too.
She didn't really give away that much compared to some but I am sure she will help them some more, now she is involved as a trustee etc.

Anyone see it on Sunday? Do you think it was fair of her to rehouse and help out the Polish family and not the boy with nothing? Roisin McIsaac has written a book about the history of Ragdale Hall -the health place near Melton Mowbray. She was a bit secretive about her life-wasn`t she ?
