Back in January l put a message on trying to find board and after lots of searching and an agencies help the following has happened.......l have c &p'd this from Trying to find board....

Just wanted to update you all on my hunt for Melanie Hind:o))))


Oh my god l spoke to her about an hour ago:o)) l have had an agency looking for her and l wrote to various addresses given to me by a number of people on here, thank you again:o))

l had a letter yesterday from the lady who now lives in Melanies old house, she gave me her mobile number and new address and the rest is history:o))) wow how exciting is that.

l have phoned my friend and spoken to her hubby, he's not going to tell her just yet as they are going out and Melanie if phoning them this evening. Will let you know the outcome.

Thank you all again so much:o)) l think it was your help that got the info rather than the agency!!!

Yes we have spoken before Shimmers......l offer my hand of friendship also:o))

The situation is this:........
My friend has alzheimers, aged 59 and she mentioned a few times how good it would be to speak to Melanie again, especially before it becomes more difficult to have a conversation. We often talk about her and everytime l have another lead l let her know.....but this time she knows nothing:o)))

Hopefully l'll get a phone call later this evening from my friend to tell me all about it, can't wait:o))

The two of them used to have such fun, they especially liked men in uniforms....lol and l think between them they managed a few dates:o))
Its going to be a real catch up time for them both:o)

Am sad to hear that your friend has Alzheimers, my father suffered with it in later life. How wonderful though that you have found Melanie whilst she is still able to remember, am truly truly pleased for you all, really I am.

Atlast have just spoken to my friend and Mel has phoned her. Friend is so excited. Anyone that knows about alzheimers (l know little) will know that words are often hard to find so, so feelings are also hard. My friend gets her words muddled which loses the feelings/ expression, if you can understand what l mean, especially on the phone, but l knew she was so pleased. Her daughter phoned me first to say Mel had rung but l was in the shower (just a tadge late)....lol
They are hoping to meet up, aww that will be lovely:o))
