If someone deletes then asks GR to *undelete* them their account comes back just as it was messages, contacts and all........but whilst they are deleted they disappear from your contacts along with their messages.....i believe xx

I have withdrawn access from those who were given access a long time ago and after having prolems with a "name collector" I am now careful who I give access. Only one asked again, and I allowed access again because I know her to be a genuine relative. All others would have got what they wanted from my tree long ago and I saw no reason to leave it open to them.

Yes, it has been a nice day. A bit cool for me, but sunny outside and no wind to-day. Sundown now - time to think about switching the heater on.

That's what I thought too. A member opened their tree to me awhile back and then closed it - their choice of course. I contacted them recently by email with new info. and they said that as they had rejoined GR their tree would once again be open to me. It is open plus their messages. I didn't look at their membership number first time around so don't know if it's the same so I'm wondering if they decided not to let me see their tree and then changed their mind.

Not sure Sue, but I have deleted a Contact and lost all messages received from them - also a message which I sent and which hadn't yet been opened.
All trace of sent and received messages disappeared.

I doubt that anything would be reinstated once an account was deleted. When it came back, I should imagine it would be as a new account.

................................................................................if someone deletes their account do you lose any messages from that person and if they come back do the messages come back?
