My father was born 1904 in Astbury, Congleton, Cheshire, William Cliffe, his father was Joseph Cliffe b 1865, mother Mary b 1865, i would love to see who else lived in their house.

Hi Bill, I have a friend who contributes greatly to the Cheshire FHS and who lives near Congleton.

It's true that we all have to pay to access the 1911 census at present so Harpstrings has been very kind in using her own money for your research.

If you need to know any more why not join the Cheshire FHS? They are very helpful. (PS I live in Kent)

It could be that Harpstrings had some credits left after doing her own research that were due to expire and she didn't want to waste them, that is why she was able to help Bill. I did go to the site myself as I knew I had some credits left, and was going to look for the details myself, but unfortuneatley they had expired.
