Will the PM official announcement restore your faith in MPs and how they will stand in the HoC,

I dont think the Speaker should go alone on this.

No it won't Kay.

I think a General Election should now be called with MPs who have had their fingers in the till standing down.

I am sick of hearing some of them defending their actions by claiming they abided by the rules. Poppycock... they made the rules.

In my opinion a clean sweep is now needed to try and help restore faith in the general public.

I say this as a Socialist knowing that there is no way they will govern again for a very long time (:

Jean.

No, the rest of them should go and all have their collective Collars Felt, for theft, misuse of public funds and whatever other charges can be used against them. And "Prudence" Miranda and Mandy should be amongst them.**M**.

I think it will take a long time to restore faith in our MP's, and lets face it, it's not just the party in power, it's across all of them.

Yes a general election is called for, and I think the speaker being forced out of his post now (the first time that has happened in more than 300 years) is the first step toward a vote of no confidence being passed.

But even newer MP's and a change in government will not renew our faith, that is going to take time. One thing that will go a long way towards it will be more transparency. They are there on our behalf, so we should be able to see better what they are doing while they are there. less secrecy, more information. They are public servants. WE are the public. I have to be accountable to my boss, so they should be accountable to us.

Of course we have to take them on trust when it comes to dealing with issues of national security...we have no choice in that, there often isn't time for a referendum, so they have to do whatever is within their power to do, whether or not we think at the time it is right or wrong.

Who will govern us next?

There is not one party exempt in this fiasco! Every one of them has had there snouts in this trough at one time or another.

Can should start the GR party? we could make it easier to trace our trees
Free certs and access to genuine researchers only! It could be a perk!
wouldn't work.
we are an easy target for people to make money out of us.LOL

I briefly caught it Jean, the impending at 5-30 I think of PM stand up time,,but hes fringed that those who have has sticly fingers will not stand for votingor stand in the Election......for the next 4 years!!!!

That I find disgraceful...they get a smacked hand in turn they called for SW to stand down......they should follow I think ,

I agree with what Jean has to say........it is a shame that those who did nothing wrong will be tarred with the same brush.......but even then, they must have known about it........just kept quiet.....

If you earn that sort of money you can afford accountants and financial advice to circumvent tax laws.........so the excuse of ........a lapse in my accounting.......is laughable....
