How's this for a match in my tree.

My tree: John Dalton - 1850 - Liverpool
is matched with: Living Unknown, YOB 0, Place of birth (blank)

is matched with: Alfred Peter - YOB 0 - Place of birth (blank)

My tree: Charles Green - 1850 - Liverpool
is matched with: Living Unknown - YOB 0 - Plcae of birth (blank)

Now, Genes has lost the plot! :)

It just keeps getting better:

My tree: George Carter, matched with Marie Langlois
My tree: George Carter, matched with Jane Emerson
My tree: George Carter, matched with Philippe Huppe
My tree: George Carter, matched with Louis Huppe
My tree: George Carter, matched with Frederick Denyer
My tree: George Carter, matched with Alivine Mercier.
My tree: George Carter, matched with Mary Gibb
My tree: George Carter, matched with James Gibb

Now, my George was born in Liverpool - All these people are Canadian! The years of birth are not even close. By the way, all these people are in one tree.

Seems like a glitch in the program, doesn't it? Oh dear, I hope it's fixed before I get mine.

Wouldn't mind if it showed the name of the ancestor in the index page, but I had six pages last time and had to open each one, then delete it and return to the index page for the next one..... took me ages.

For months someone called Alan had 70 + names that matched with mine but I had never heard of any of them. Today my Hot Matches matched Lucy Wright with George Nightingale. Did people cross dress in the early 1800's?

Is it all for the same member? I think you have said it is.

Most likely the other person has changed or removed their tree, in which case any matches will no longer be correct. Or, have you changed yours, perhaps by uploading a new gedcom?

Hi BrinsleyS

Yes all for the same member, Alan, I can't remember the exact amount of people that were supposed to match mine but know that it gradually rose to 70+. I wondered if he had the same problem and thought of sending him a pm but then decided that if he didn't have the problem he might think I was some odd, deluded woman!!
