Yes, I've got the free My Heritage and it's pretty good.
It's pretty similar to Ancestry's tree when you're entering information.
I also have cousins marrying and siblings from one family marrying siblings from another; men marrying sister in laws when wives die young, all that sort of thing, but My Heritage copes well with it all.
The reports are also very good, in fact, it's every bit as good as FTM. I just prefer FTM's layout when I'm adding information.

Mo the copy I had of FTM was just that a copy of 2006 which is now lost., but I had got used to working with it.
I like to be able to work off-line also, with my dodgy internet connection I need to be able to.
I do have my gedcom backed up on e-drive but I don't know how much or what photos till I can get into it.

From My Heritage has anybody tried the free download version.

I have to say it looks good but was wondering how good.
I have been used to working on FTM but due to the loss of hard-drive I have lost that and nobody can find the copy of it we had. So I now need something to open my gedcom up in to see how much I had backed up.

I do need a programme where families can be put together ( cousins marrying )
and it has to be free at the moment
Any suggestions
