No, the recipe for scones wasn't bad. It was the recipe for disaster which came before it!

At least, I got to read all of this one. Only got to read page one of the other one. I'll have to tune in earlier!

The scone recipe was fine, Deb and I'm actually going to try it for morning tea. Berona you'll have to get up earlier:)) The fact that there were people on the thread who deleted and came back and were happy to laugh at themselves about it escaped one person:(

I've got a tip I've been meaning to pass on.

When you light on a thread that looks especially juicy ... juicy enough to maybe not be around for long, do this.

Right-click on it (or on the "1" in the upper right, for the page number, if you're already in it).

In the menu that appears, select "open in a new window".

Now go to that window. The first page of the thread will be open there.

Right-click on the "2" in the upper right, and select "open in a new tab".

Then right-click on the "3" in the upper right, and select "open in a new tab".

And so on.

Then you'll have a nice dedicated window with all the pages of the juicy thread open, and you can peruse them to your heart's content. You can even go looking for other juicy threads you might miss if you're reading that one, and open them up in their own windows too.

To see whether there are additions on the last page, don't refresh it, because it might disappear. Right-click on its page number and open a new tab for it.

Ditto if you want to add a reply at any point -- open a new copy of that page and do it there, so the page doesn't disappear as you type. I mean, it will disappear, but you'll still have a copy of it.

Then you just have to find time to read them all ...
