You are on the right board, Peggy.

There seems to be some problems with Hot Matches, when names and dates of birth don't match up. Hopefully, GR will sort this out. However, the Place of Birth should not need to match up as so many people only "think" they have the right place - particularly if the ancestor's family moved or emigrated when gr/gr/grandfather was a baby. Even he might have thought he was born where he was raised.

I received five pages of Hot Matches to-day, but only three ancestors were mentioned in all five pages! All three have been in my tree for years now and are only the spouses of great aunts and uncles. I don't really want to go into the families of these people - so I delete them all.

Hi , I suppose it would be the tips board, but someone will know better, I'm fairly new to this, I got a "Hot Match" for John Wallace b Derbyshire, for one born in Australia, couldn't be more futher apart.

Is there a Board to discuss using this site for genealogy?

I'm curious to know if other users have been getting more and more "Hot Matches" which are ice cold --- no match of name, date, or anything else.
