Just for info - ordinarily medical records are only kept for 10 years and then destroyed.

As for WW1 records I have no idea about, did not realise they had any of those to transcribe.

Not all the records are on there yet (the surviving ones that is). I think they're up to about N.

Hi Viv,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

I've been looking on ancestry but I just can't seem to find anything for him - have tried his reg number 28852 and 14th HLI but keep drawing blanks.

Is it possible that these have been destroyed?

Hi Leanne
If you can find his service or pension records from ww1 on ancestry and they are readable ,it should have them on it.

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help me out? I'm looking for medical records for my Great Grandfather who was wounded in WW1 (1916) so I assume he was either treated in the field or at home in Falkirk, and who died 1924.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Thanks in advance! Leanne
