Do you just have your tree on this site?
If so then when you find it, please put it on a programme, you can down load a free one from family search site get back to me if you want details

Hi Sue

No, I only have a very small part on ancestry, nothing like I had here.

I would be interested in the details of program to download, if I get the info back.

Have you ever heard of this happening to anyone else?

Do you have access to someonelses tree, if so what happens when you try to load that? The same problem happened with another member a few weeks ago, her tree hadn't disappeared is was just failing to download onto her pc properly.

Clear out your internet temp files and try again, shutting down sometimes does this for you but it depends on how you have set your browser up.

I have been looking at my tree and parts of it seem to disappear. I found that I must click on one person, then select what I want from the top of the page - Ancestors, Descendants, Immediate Family, etc. then it changes and parts disappear, leaving only the part I have selected.

Not very clear, am I? I mean I click on a name, then say, 'Ancestors' and that person's parents, gr/parents etc. come into view - but spouse, siblings, children of that person disappear until I change my selection to 'Descendants'. Have you tried doing this?

Berona,

Yes, I think that is what it is supposed to do. The display changes the names it shows as you navigate up and down and left to right.

Lavenda,

The fact that other trees load confirms that you have the correct software installed.

Do try my tip about clearing out your termp files. It has worked for several other members whose tree would only partly load. One member also increased the size of her internet cache in order to stop it happening again..

Yes, to back up your GR tree you need to download it as a gedcom. GR will email the file to you.

To read it you will need a tree program such as Family Tree Maker, or you can upload it to another site such as Ancestry or Tribal.

Hi Lagoona

Look directly under this message at the dark green bar running across the page, on it you will see Import/Export Gedcom, click on that and follow the instuctions.

Hi Berona

Yes I have cleared my internet temp files and believe me I have clicked on a name then descendants and ancestors, - nothing.

I have searched my tree for other names that should be there - nothing.

Thanks heaps you for your help, I am baffled, not to mention
desperate .

I have just doen some testing with lavenda, and her tree is loading ok, but there are only the two names in the database.

So it does now look as though it is over to GR for an explanation.

lavenda, do let us know what GR have to say.
