I realise that if someone's sub runs out that they would remain in my contacts, am I right in thinking that if someone actually deletes their account the name will also go from 'contacts'?

I let my subs run out in march but kept my tree going on here incase I got a good hotmatch. I could not post on the boards or pm people but all my contacts remained as did my access to the trees I already had.

Edit....If I had deleted my membership I would not be in anyones contacts.

Thanks Hoobity :) It was just that I was looking through them for someone, and they weren't there lol...whereas friends who let their subs go still showed up.

You are right.

When I deleted I not only lost all my pms, I was unable to send them, have also lost my FT forever which I had not realized when I asked them to reinstate my deleted account.

Thanks Shimms, I was lucky when I deleted in a hissy fit that they 'reinstated' me straight away when I begged lol... so I didn't lose anything . Sorry you lost your tree though I hope you had it backed up elsewhere (mines all on paper )

I wasn't returning ... had lost so much valuable information, needed to return to save my tree. Lesson learnt, always back up ... I do have information on paper, just have to remember where.

Having asked for my account to be reinstated, my pms automatically appeared in friends message boxes ... hey ho, am back, did miss them.

Off to enjoy the sunshine, am busy planting, weeding and more. Hoping tis sunny where you are.
