That north sea breeze does it Julie - you have to get acclimatised - say a week in Norfolk (in land) with a great coat on, then two days in Norwich with a jumper and then Gt Yarmouth for 30 mins in yer vest! )))

Hope you enjoyed yourselves though!

Gt Yarmouth on a Bank holiday weekend..........how brave of you.....lol

I avoid the town at such times personally.........and yes it was a chilly wing blowing straight of the sea..........but it has warmed up a bit here this evening as the wind has dropped.

Julie did you think that Yarmouth sea front looks rather good now ?

Hi Amanda

I can't remember what it looked like before that was only the 2nd time i've been but my OH's daughter said it was a lot nicer than it used to be.

We're in Thetford at the mo going home tomorrow

It certainly does look a lot nicer these days , much more of a Golden mile than it used to be : )

I hope you enjoyed your visit to Norfolk.

When my children were young (many years ago) we used to go to Great Yarmouth with my parents the first week of September, used to go every year and still have loads of pictures of the funfair and our stay at Vauxhall caravan park, such happy times.

Aah, this is bringing back some memories...!

My parents had a caravan, just up the road from Yarmouth (Hemsby) for 25 years.I did all my growing up there, and the weather wasn't always bad.. ;o)

I then went out with a boy from Yarmouth from the age of 16-19.

And now you're in Thetford Julie? That's about 12 miles from me, and I know it well.
