Hi Brian,

Have you tried http://labs.familysearch.org/

They have the Durham and Northumberland Parish records. A bit of a trawl as they are originals and un-indexed, but worth the effort.

Has anyone access to Jarrow parish records because I am finding it difficult to trace my tree back any further. Thread so far.

Francis Travis 1823 wife Ann Fairley 1826 abt both South Shields.

Francis's Father,
Thomas Thuston Travis 1796-1863 wife Deborah Moore 1802-1884 married 1823 St Pauls Jarrow.
Thomas's father,
Peter Travis wife Elizabeth Stafford ( Thomas baptised in Jarrow)
I need to substanciate Peter Travis and Elizabeth Stafford facts and get back further if possibe.
The Travis name is often mistranscribed but they usually dont move about. Any help would be appreciated
