just got back from the Melton Mowbry Show
We took our Moggy Minor for the classic car show. Some thieving scrote went in the glove box and stole my prescription glasses. Well I hope they go blind

OMG what a low down dirty trick!

First have you reported it to the police, and secondly have you reported it to the MMowners association? I'm sure they would take a dim view of that sort of thing, especially if said thief is caught.

are they/ could they be covered by your household insurance?

yes we reported but their were hundreds of people so no chance of her being caught , .and i know who it was. I did wonder at the time why she opened the glove box ,but I put it down to curiosity. I did not notice my glasses had gone untill almost home.
A consequence , I have just had to use a magnifying glass to load my sons insulin pen as I could not see the numbers.

Sorry you had your day spoiled, perhaps the "person" will think again and return your glasses or hand them into the police station.

What a lousy thing to do Quoy........won't do her any good......why did she want them........did they have reactalight lenses which darken like sunglasses.......or really nice frames......

btw......can't lay claim to owning a MMinor, but did have a beaten up old mini called Bumtitty.......Registration BMT something or other.....

My very old Nissan March (Japanese version of Micra) is called Ella......Registration ELA ..... etc....

Ex and I used to have Moggies. First one was a van - we reconditioned/changed the gear box every year and the engine every other year. He was called Boris - after Boris Karloff who played frankensteins monster - because things kept falling off him! Finally too much felloff to warrant keeping him!
The second was a snowberry coloured Traveller we called Snowy.
She disgraced herself going over to Ireland. In Wales at 10pm, she decided to start belching oil out of the exhaust - this was serious belching - it covered the car - including windscreen! Could we find a garage open? NO! She ended her days in ireland - we left her with my BIL (there was no MOT in Ireland at that time).
The third ne was a grey convertible with maroon hood and seats. Could only be used when it wasn't raining. She was called Mabel. Don't now what year, but the reg number was 6019D. Sadly she fell into disrepair after ex and I split up. Although she was my car (ie I paid for her) I couldn't drive and ex couldn't take her for a while, athough he did manage to sell her eventually.

We had an ancient Escort we called chugalugs. Some indication of its performance there lol

My Uncle had a moggy when I was little. Those flip up indicators used to fascinate me.

Remember when all the post vans were moggy minors?

I there any more news about your glasses? Hope they were handed in to a police station. If you have to replace them, they are not cheap these days.
