The library, local to where you are searching, may hold copies of the electoral rolls for that date, or be able to tell you where they are kept. |

Failing that get on to the council where the address is and they should hold records to your street and household. |

i HAVE JUST GOOGLED ELECTORAL ROLLS AND I THINK YOU WILL FIND THAT CANDYMAN IS CORRECT IN THAT THERE WERE NO ROLLS DURING 1939-1945. |

i there was a electorol roll in 1945 as i obtained one for bourgh of greewich if you write or visit thelocal council they will have it. |
