Thankyou all for the kind thoughts.
had to laugh at joy though, daughter definatly wont part with her hair straigteners now you said that. as she would say "she don't do curly hair".

While I am here if anyone knows the kind lady who offered advise for benefits, think she was a volunteer for CAB could they let her know that I am looking for her. I havent seen her around and didnt know if she had other family commintments going on.
Although I probably wont be around much tomorro

SO sorry to hear this Ann
there are many types of chemo
some dont make you loose your hair
the hospital can provide cold caps that can help stop this
if your daughters chemo is the type that can cause it
but its not the end of the world though it might seem that way
as her hair would soon grow back
some peoples grow back curly its called the chemo curl
GOOD LUCK TO HER I WISH HER WELL

Good luck to your daughter Anne. I hope things go well and the cancer is kicked into touch.

When I was told I was to have chemo for bowel cancer, which didn't materialise because other events overtook it, they didn't seem to think I would lose my hair. I hope the same goes for your daughter.

Anne. Sending positive thoughts to your daughter.
As one who has been through chemo, and lost my hair, I understand what she is going through.
She is entitled to a free wig from the NHS, and you can buy special bandanas, although they are expensive.

Wishing her well, and tell her to keep her chin up.

xx

As some of you know my daughter has colon cancer. The chemo tablets she was on didnt work and since she had the tumor removed the cells have come back. So 1st chemo session tomorro. Her biggest fear is loosing her hair but is already saying that she better learn how to put one of those bandanas scarf things on.
