With TalkTalk and found them to be good. Monthly charge for phone line and broadband is £17.18. Free 59min calls, evenings and w/ends, as many as you like and free calls to other Talk Talk subscribers and Nectar points. Other calls cheaper than BT. Friends and family discount includes 1 mobile number,

Is that a dress rehearsal Hayley?

Liz, we looked at Sky but at the time,in comparison with BT it didn't seem value for money, even though we already have Sky TV. There seems to be some downtime with them too.

We are with Sky for broadband £5 month, phone line rental £10 month, unlimited phone calls up to 59 minutes £5 month. We have the basic sky tv package about £20 month.

I'm with Talk Talk.

They are fine once they are up and running......but they mucked me about with the going live date when we started so I was without internet for about 4 days.

Once in a blue moon their servers or whatever it is go down...but not that often or for that long for it to be a real problem.

The unlimited free anytime calls for up to an hour are most welcome lol.....and I've never had the slightest problem with their phone line xx

I've been with BT for the last two years, and I am happy with their service, but they are a bit pricey...I'm paying £36 a month all in, that's broadband, phone, free evening and weekend calls, and the hub phone with a separate number, which I really like having..

What's their broadband/phone service like? I've just had a call from them, they say I could have a similar service to BT but for £19 less than I'm paying now.

Difference is, talktalk don't offer the hub phone, which I give to family and friends, as well as the ordinary land line number which is for everyone else (who I don't particularly want to speak to lol). Talktalk reckon I am being charge double line rent for this but I don't think I am, going to pull out the contract and check.

What I want to know is, does their broadband have any downtime? BT round here rarely does.
