I wandered about a bit by myself,, looking for inspiration amongst the Daffodils, above me the bright blue sky was awash with lovely clouds, the golden Sun Shining down on the green leafy world making pretty patterns as the leaves of the trees wafted to and fro........

As I meandered, Pen in hand and occasionally tapping my teeth wondering how I can find the correct words to write, so that the results were worthy of publication to get the £5 note that would be necessary to buy some food , pay the rent and get my boots mended ,

I still struggle as a writer I am not...

and apologies to dear William.......

After letting the sheep into the pen, he closed the car boot and took the £5 note reward for finding it.

It was cold and it was snowing. It was Christmas Eve and she was broke and hungry and her child would get no Christmas presents this year. As she trudged in the slush, her flimsy boots filled up with newspapers to keep the cold out, she thought bitterly of the man Who Had Led Her Astray. All he had left her was a Parker Pen..Tsk Tsk....*sobs....

When suddenly......

drifting her way and landing on her left boot...a five pound note fluttered and rested there, just like a butterfly. And then another and then another. As she quickly gathered the wet notes, she knew for sure that she would go and buy a chicken for the Christmas Lunch, and Crackers, and Plum Pud, and.......and a toy train for little Johnny:-)

ps...this is a true story, it happened to a friend of mine...

once upon a time,
G.U. was a happy place, for a mere Fiver you could roam this site, Note book and pen in hand looking for clues as to your ancestry, but now alas the boot is on the other foot as it were....... and disharmony is rife........

As Johnny was walking down the road admiring his new boots, he found when he put his hand in his jacket pocket something all gooey. He pulled out his pen to find it had been leaking.

Good job all his coins were in his trouser pocket he thought to himself.

As it was the only pen he had and needed it to write a letter, went to the nearest store to purchase one. Whilst there he picked up some writing paper and sweets to munch on the way home.

"That will be $5 dollars please" said the sales assistant.

Johnny was pleased with his purchases, he hoped his mother would not be too angry when he got home and showed her his school blazer jacket.

The End

Hi All
I would like to hear any quick stories you can write but the catch is -
it must contain; A Boot, A Pen and A 5 dollar/pound note.

Cheers
