We (9 adults, 1 child and 2 toddlers) are off to Cornwall next week on holiday.
As my grand daughter (the 1 child) will be missing 3 days off school (the other 2 days are inset days) daughter told her she had to do a project - and suggested tin mines.
Grand daughter wasn't interested.
Daughter mentioned that granny will be traipsing over graveyards (my dad's Cornish and my Great and G great grandparents are all buried in the same grave - yes that's the same grave!), within 9 miles of where we're staying - and they all lived in surrounding villages - I'd obviously like to visit them.
Grand daughter said she'd love to do a project on graves with Granny!! This means daughter will be duty bound to drive me to the various destinations!! YAY
What a little darling my grand daughter is!!!
However it will also include mines - half the ancestors were tin/copper miners!! LOL

....I did say I'd try to 'nab' the spare single bedroom on holiday so she didn't have to suffer my snoring like she did last year!! LOL

How old are yours Kay?
My grand daughter's 7, grandson's 17months - and he's already showing respect for Granny. When he walks in the wrong direction, granny can pick him up and face him in the right direction without a murmur from him.
If daughter or SIL tries it - he exercises his lungs!!
