Maureen....I had the same amount of bumf throuhg the door as you. I had to search the net to find out who was standing in our area and then go and look at each individual website to find out more about them

My wife shall be proxy voting for me today, as expressed previously, if you don't vote, you cannot complain!

Although I sympathasize with UKIP I shan't vote for them in the European elections as a decision to withdraw from the EU can only be made and acted on in the UK parliament, not from within the EU parliament.

Still undecided in the County election. Will do some research on policies this afternoon and vote this evening.

Not sure UKIP is any better than any of the others - they have one (ex) member in jail for EU fraud and one on trial at present !!

I've just been to vote and was greatly amused to see one of the EU parties is called the Roman Party!

Bless 'em all!

At the polling station I learned there are over 900 people eligible to vote there, 100 of which are postal votes, and of the rest they thought about 200 would turn up. Amazing really in a village of about 4 roads where nearly everyone can walk to the polls - it's only us in the sticks who have to drive in.

Dear All

When my family went to vote a short time ago, we were
the only voters at the polling station.

There was more staff and canvassers!

Yes, we all have felt disillusioned and angry the last few weeks.

But I did think seriously about who to vote for and I feel that
I made the right decision.

Best wishes to all.

I was disappointed that there were no canvassers at the polling booth as I wanted to question them.

Well, I went to vote this evening and had to fight my way through the cobwebs across the entrance and then wake up the man with the long beard, he then blew the dust off the voting slips and congratulated me for being the first person in to vote. I was going to ask if he had had a busy day.

I voted on the way to work this morning. I've seen it busier, but there were quite a few.
I voted for the one local councillor who made an effort to find out my views. However - the EU one - 13 candidates and I hadn't seen a representative from any of them - or heard of half of them!!!
Sadly the Raving Looney Party wasn't on there, however I still voted.

Dear LittleLost

I was a canvasser at the 1997 elections.

I sat outside the polling station and I could not keep up with collecting the voting cards. There was a very high turnout.

Dear Mynameised,

At least you made the effort and went to vote.

We all got thank you's for going along and voting!

Dear Maggie winchester

No I didn't see Monster Raving Loony party, either.

Unfortunately, there has been a lot of nasty literature from some political parties which came through the post. All of it went in the bin.

Best wishes to all.xx
