A MAN HAS BEEN MISSING IN EDINBURGH SINCE MAY.
HE HAS THE SURNAME OF ANCESTORS OF MINE, AND I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THEM. I CANNOT RECALL ANY OF THEM STILL LIVING IN THE AREA THOUGH.

IT WOULD APPEAR THIS POOR MAN IS HOMELESS, AND I FEEL HE MAY HAVE TRAVELLED TO EDINBURGH.

I HOPE HE IS FOUND SAFE AND WELL, BUT DON'T KNOW WHETHER I SHOULD ASK THE POLICE IF THEY FIND HIM, TO CONTACT ME, AS I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW IF HE IS CONNECTED.

ANY OFFERS OF ADVICE PLEASE??

I CAN'T ANSWER THAT ROS. MY GGGG.GFATHER HAD THE SAME SURNAME, AND I HAVE FOUND MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY I NEVER KNEW ABOUT. EVEN MY OWN MOTHERS FAMILY.

I think if it was me I would contact the police and tell them what you know about the family name. If he turns up and they can find a connection it will not only benefit you but also that poor man.

Will keep my fingers crossed and hope that he is found safe and well and also that you find he is a long lost relative and the missing piece to your jigsaw.

Thanks for all your advice. Sorry I've not been on much, but have been feeling down, and got personal probs.
I've not heard anymore about this man, but will probably pop into my local police station next week.
