I bought the Julie Walters one at Christmas, and still havn't got round to reading it yet. I wanted the Clarissa Dixon Wright book, but couldn't get it anywhere.
I like American detective/muder ones the best, as I think the authors handle this genre better than the British writers. Having said that I am reading the latest Simon Kernick, set in London. Hope nobody tells me he is American. Very good read.

Paul's book was fab, had me in stitches cos he writes exactly as he talks.

Mummo, it goes up until he's about 20 I think.

I usually take 2 or 3 books on holiday cos I do love to read, but won't get much chance this year :-)) will take summat for the plane tho, probably a murder mystery.

Was going to buy the Paul O'Grady book but didn't think it would be a good read as it only went up to when he was 14 (l think) perhaps l should take another look at it if its that funny.

I've read that Whirls.

Great book !!! It is grim in places but I enjoyed it immensely xx

I'm reading Victorian London by Liza Picard...........some of it's a bit grim about life in those days......

iv just finished stalked by kate brennan "not her real name"

its a true story how she was stalked by her rich ex partner :( some of the thngs he did were vey disturbing but it was a good read

i got paul o grady frm the library but took it bck without reading it as i got into another book id bought lol

The only book I've ever read that made me LOL all the way through it was Starter For Ten by David Nicholls.

It's great too for a bit of 80s nostalgia xx

Brilliant book, cant wait for the next one due later in the year !

Picked up Alan Carrs autobiography as well, but after reading the first paragraph will save that for the airport and plane when we go on our holiday. It looks very funny :o))

Who has read any good books of late, and what books will you take on holiday, or i'n many cases, your back gardens :o))

A few years ago I took Sophie Kinsella's "Secret Dreamworld of a shopoholic" on holiday to skeggy (its now been re released bercause of the film) It was so funny I was LOL on the beach reading it :o))))
