Am confused.
I put out the glass and newspaper box today for the re-cycling men. In with the glass I put 3 dead lightbulbs.
The men have been now, so I just went and brought the box back, and find that they've given me back the dead lightbulbs.

Where do dead lightbulbs go then????

No rude answers thanks!!! LOL

K

P.S. Am in the UK at the moment, wouldn't be asking what to do with lightbulbs in the desert!!!!!!

Aren't they classed as electrical? In which case wouldn't they go the same way as other electrical items?

I know that our council will not accept the new light bulbs, no idea what we are supposed to do with them, but then I haven't had one die on me so far LOL

Which kind of bulbs are they?

the new lo energy ones may have mercury or sodium in them....... so they have to be recycled properly....

old type incandescent ones should go in the normal rubbish, I would think...only a small amount of metal on them......
